Liverpool will take on the biggest game of their season in just under three weeks’ time.
Jurgen Klopp’s men will go head to head with Real Madrid in Kiev for the Champions League trophy.
Not many would have tipped the Reds to come this far, but they ended up being the only English club left standing after four of their rivals dropped out in the knockout rounds.
The Reds are lacking a bit of form leading up to the final as they have failed to score in their last two Premier League encounters.
It is rather unheard of given the scintillating seasons of Mohamed Salah, Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane.
Klopp and the fans will be hoping that the trio find their shooting boots for the showpiece clash on May 26.
It seems, though, that the negative energy among the Liverpool fans has spread following the announcement of referee for the final.
According to the Liverpool Echo, Milorad Mazic will be the man in the middle, but his name does not carry much gravitas considering that he was voted the worst match official at the 2014 World Cup.
The referee oversaw a 2016 Europa League game between Liverpool and Manchester United, which ended with the Reds progressing 3-1 on aggregate.
Madrid are unbeaten under Mazic’s rule, which has left some Liverpool fans feeling nervous.
