According to theexecutive secretary of the BCCI, Sharad Diwadkar, there will be nosponsors logo on the Indian players during the tour.It may be recalled that the BCCI recently signed a lucrativesponsorship agreement with TWI-IMG worth crores of rupees. However thedeal came into force only from the tour of Sri Lanka in July. The BCCIhad announced that it would persuade former sponsors ITC to continueits hotel business logo for the current tour since the new law doesnot permit any tobacco products advertisements. The BCCI was hopefulthat the matter would be sorted out by the first Test beginning fromJune 7. But with no decision yet taken, there would be no commerciallogo on the players non leading arm (one not facing the telecast).* Cricket museum likely at MumbaiThe headquarters committee of the Board of the Control for Cricket inIndia which will meet in Mumbai on June 2 will discuss the proposal ofthe former BCCI president Raj Singh Dungarpur of allotting a piece ofland in the north stand of the Brabourne stadium for extending theBCCI office as well as setting up a cricket museum which will showcasethe history of Indian cricket.BCCI president AC Muthiah is expected to attend the meeting. The othermembers of the committee include Raj Singh Dungarpur, BCCI secretaryJaywant Lele, BCCI treasurer Kishore Rungta, TNCA secretary AshokKumbhat and other past and present office bearers.
