Chelsea legend Giroud has been struggling for form since joining Los Angeles FC, as the French veteran has only managed to score twice in 28 games with the MLS side, with no goals in the league. However, on Saturday, with the Black and Gold trailing 2-0 against the Timbers right before half-time, Giroud grabbed his first MLS goal with a stunning 20-yard free kick that rattled the crossbar and went in.

In the second half of the MLS clash, LAFC drew level with the Portland Timbers as David Martinez got Steve Cherundolo's side their second goal of the night before the Timbers took the lead yet again. However, Denis Bouanga scored in injury time for the Los Angeles-based club to give them a crucial 3-3 draw on the night to help them avoid their fifth league loss in nine games.

The French veteran has two straight good games for LAFC, and he will be keen on continuing his form when the Black and Gold take on St. Louis on Sunday, April 27.
