The third-division English side's supporters' trust announced on social media on Tuesday that they were offering tickets to the final of the Carabao Cup final to their members in a ballot draw. Exeter were eliminated from the first round of the competition last August after they lost 4-3 against Walsall on penalties.

Exeter's announcement left some fans of the Reds and Magpies fans confused. However, all EFL clubs are entitled to tickets for the final after entering the competition, and as the Grecians are a fan-owned club, they have decided to distribute them this way rather than hand them over to club officials and directors.

Eddie Howe's side progressed to the final of the competition for the second time in three years after beating Arsenal 2-0 twice over the two legs of their semi-final. The Premier League leaders, on the other hand, came back from a 1-0 deficit to thrash Tottenham Hotspur 4-0 in the second leg, and they will now defend their trophy at Wembley.
WHAT NEXT FOR LIVERPOOL?
Before heading to Wembley next month to defend their Carabao Cup, the Merseysiders have four crucial Premier League matches to play, one of which is against Newcastle at Anfield. Their next fixture is against Aston Villa on Wednesday.
